Becoming an Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau is an honor not accorded to all businesses, because not all businesses are qualified. Firstly, it is by invitation only: a few BBB selected businesses in the community that meet BBB high standards, will be invited to this accreditation process; then only the ones that committed to the BBB high ethical standards will open up their operation, go through a comprehensive background verification process, and all process have to be approved by BBB board of directors.
